Digitisation Project

The “Digitising Our Collection” project is a vital initiative aimed at preserving and making accessible our extensive collection of historical artefacts, photographs, documents, and books. Generously funded by Public Records Victoria and Wellington Shire, this project has enabled us to acquire essential digitisation equipment, including computers, iPads, cameras, scanners, and professional photo studio gear. With these new resources, we are meticulously digitising over 1,000 artefacts, 2,000+ photographs, and 5,000+ historical documents and books, ensuring they are safeguarded for future generations and accessible to researchers, historians, and the wider community. This project is a significant step in modernising our collection, making our region’s rich history more widely available than ever before.
